Hello Di,

I know this email is long overdue. We had such a wonderful time at the Surfpad, I can't thank you enough for your hospitality and friendliness! I will still have to send you pictures in a couple of weeks when we finally get all the way home to Salt Lake City. We developed the pictures while we were visiting the Bay of Islands and there are some AWESOME pictures. We were so upset when we got back because we realized we had left the pictures in our hotel room in Auckland. I kept calling the hotel hoping they would find them and finally I got through to housekeeping and they were able to mail the pictures to our Utah address. I will send you the best ones when we get back. I can't wait to put my New Zealand scrapbook together! As far as something for your website, I hope this is what you were looking for.

Our trip to the Surfpad was more amazing than we could have hoped! The best part about the Surfpad is that you can create the vacation you want and Di will do as much or as little as you would like. We were able to surf, hike, swim, relax, take walks on the beach, stargaze, and most of all relax! Our initial reason for booking the surfpad was the surf lessons and Di did a phenomenal job! She was patient and we had a blast. Di took some pictures for us while we tried every wave that came our way. The surfing was alot of work and a much deserved soak in the sun and nap followed the surfing. The views at the Surfpad are world-class! We took the afternoon and Di led us on a hike to the top of a hill in the estuary. We stopped at the top and enjoyed the 360 degree view and the good company. The water looks absolutely clear from that high and you can see forever. It was unforgettable. On the way home we enjoyed a jump off the bridge and a swim down the river to cool off. We asked Di to cater dinner and she provided a scrumptious spread of homemade rye bread with lime infused olive oil, Tua Tua fritters (Nev gathered the Tua Tua), Snapper (also caught by Nev), and delicious sides and dessert. The food and the company were great. After surf lessons on the second day we spent the rest of the afternoon reading and sun bathing. The surf pad is a little jewel in New Zealand and we had a wonderful time. The surf lessons were great, but the Surfpad has so much to offer beyond surfing. We can't thank Di enough for giving us more than the vacation we wanted...we got the vacation of our dreams.

It was a really enjoyable activity for all the kids and even those who were a
little apprehensive to start with quickly gained confidence largely due to the
patience of the instructors, the positive relationship they quickly established with the kids and the realistic expectations they set.
All the children came away from the activity buzzing and I’m sure you have inspired lots of enthusiasm for surfing as a sport to pursue further.
All through the planning stages you maintained good contact which made it an easy activity to organise. Everything ran very smoothly and professionally and for the teachers who had so much else to organise in that week that was a real bonus.
Thanks again for a really enjoyable 3 days.
Hope to see you again next year.
